Hey all,

Simple question - anyone know where to find music/tab for some real distinctive irish folk pieces transcribed to guitar?? Also, it doesn't have to necassarily be "folk" songs.. it can be any pace; and i'm primarily looking for online recourses.

Thanks~

Try bands like Flogging Molly, The Dubliners, and The Pogues. Those are some that I know of. As for tabs, one of my favorites is "The Irish Rover" its a folk song that the Pogues and the Dubliners have done. Really easy. I think there was another thread asking almost this exact same question a few days ago, see if you can find that one and look through the responses that the other guy got.

It's not tabs but sheet, but as such very simple. They have a lot there. You may also try the traditional department in the tabs section on this site. Just run a search on Traditional in Band Names and some nice suggestions roll out.
Good luck.
