When you are composing or jamming how do you interlink your scales seemlessly so it sounds even-do you base it around the chord progression in the song?. At the moment it sounds really obvious when i try to change into a different scale within the same song/key-should i play patterns/lines. .

Sometimes you shouldnt use too many scales. The key of the song may change and send it in a different direction. I usually base my scales around my chords though, but they are always in key with each other.
