I don't know if this in the right spot but could someone explain to me the difference between a wet and dry sound or signal. Ive heard the term a few times but have no clue what it means.

wet, proceseed ran through effect.

Dry: guitar, cable, clean amp. thats is straight through no processing what so ever.

Well, wet is characterized more so as effects like delay, flange, leslie, etc., and not things like distortion.

so im using a distorion pedal and wah, so thats a wet signal?

It would technically count as a wet signal, a wet signal is when you run anything between your guitar and amp. Be it a distortion, flanger, volume boost, anything.
