I've played electrical guitar for over a year now and just today I got my first acoustic. Now on my acoustic, there is a strap lock at the bottom of the guitar, but not on the top. Am I supposed to use the string at the end to tie it around the neck or what? I tried that, but that just mutes the strings. Help me please.

Some people will install one near where the neck meets the body. Others will tie the string to the headstock, just the other side of the nut (not over the fretboard) and under the strings.

I prefer A myself.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

yeah, they expect you to tie it usually, but you can install a peg if you want
