I hear the click from way back when,
Now I've hurt my head again.
The pain brings on a feeling so numb,
I say I'm insane, you say I'm dumb.

It's not easy staying sane,
When all around me is so crazy.
Blood, and tears, and all my friends,
We say we're dying, you say we're lazy.

Staging.
The truth is too much,
So you fill us with lies.
Another child dies alone,
Another mother cries.

You tell us it's alright,
There's nothing to fear.
But we have seen it all ourselves,
We know the pain's right here.

It courses through our boiling blood,
It tingles every sense.
It envelopes us, suffocates us,
Knocks us to the fence.

The past is too much,
So I bury it inside.
Inside my vile being,
Where I run away and hide.
