...i have a Laney LX65R at the moment, but would i be able to use that asa head for a half stack?

i presume that the socket in the back labelled 'Extension LoudSpeaker' is for it? is this correct?

Hooray...now i dont havta spend loads of money on a head! LOL thanks!

EDIT: ok, now another question...which cabinet should/could i go for?

I play a lot of hard rock and metal, but i need good cleans too (e.g. CKY, The Exies, Audioslave, Deftones, etc). would i need a laney to suit this amp, or would any old cabinet do? thanks again

If you really think you need a cab then go for something like an inexpensive Kustom or Behringer. For their prices theyre pretty good. And it doesnt sound like youre going to upgrade your amp to an amp head anytime soon so why spend tons on a cab?

^ true. but in a band situation it helps spread the sound more evenly throughout the room, makes it sound a lot better at high volumes.
