I wanna know in ur opinion what is the best solo ever created it could be a drum solo or a guitar solo even a bass solo anything. Rate on things like technicality, difficulty, speed and quality of playing. My first choice is Alaska by BTBAM.
#3
Unearth have some really good guitar stuff, I don't think they have any solos in the traditional sense of the word though.

I don't know, I don't really rememeber many solos in metalcore. ATR are probably the only ones I can remember.
#13
Only real good one I can think of is Unearth- The Oncoming Storm, track 5. I don't know its title. Maybe its Zombie Autopilot like you guys mentioned above.

Selkies, hands down. Well, just the whole song. It just so happens to be my favourite song of all time and it's where I got my internet name from. The whole thing is ****ing epic. Mordecai kicks ass too, but not to the scale of Selkies.

Go home.

I'm gonna give it to the solo at the start of Alaska by BTBAM. The way those two chords sound sweeped is just insane.

Agreed. I'm gonna have to add "Passion" by ATR as well. Nothing overtly technical or anything, it just fits the song so well. "I Die in Degrees" has a great solo too...goes straight into a looping lead that i fuking love.

Selkies and Mordecai are my favorites.

Selkies is better imo though, i used to fast forward the whole song just to listen to the clean solo and the sweep solo haha.

selkies and zombie autopilot are pretty swell, im gonna get killed fer this but i havta say that ex's and oh's by atreyu and right side of the bed are also pretty good plz dont hurt me

I really have to agree with Selkies by BTBAM and Zombie Autopilot by Unearth.

I'm also going to say...Ethos by Darkest Hour...and...Like Light to Flies by Trivium I never thought that I would ever say anything positive about Trivium, but oh well.
I am a breathing Time Machine!

Darkest Hour- Sound the Surrender (i know its not WAY impressive, but it's my favorite)
and
Himsa- Rain To the Sound of Panic

^dammit you took mine. Darkest Hour has some pretty hot solos. But nothing really matches BTBAM. Not really metalcore but Black Dahlia Murder has some pretty fun solos to play as well.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.
