Hey guys, ive been playing acoustic guitar for about 3 weeks, but a solid 3 hours per day... This is my first electric guitar pack that i am considering buying. Is this a good Guitar Pack? http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_ibanez_ijs40_jumpstart_electric_guitar_pack?full_sku=519658%2e024

Theres a place with a cheaper price but that website ^ has better decription and pictures to show you all... So i would appreciate any recommendations for guitar packs under 250$... also, i compiled a list of the ones i was most likely considering:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_epiphone_les_paul_special_ii_player_pack?full_sku=518677%2e015 ... if you'd like you can let me know which one you guys think is best...If anyone has used any of these guitars, and know if they are good or bad, please let me know, but so far everyone has been saying the ibanez Jumpstart pack is best. any help would be appreciated!

I would definitly go with the Ibanez package. That was my first electric guitar and i still play on it. Its actually a really good guitar for the price and level thats its at.
Epiphone Les Paul 100
Ibanez IJS40
Fender Acoustic
Ibanez Tone Blaster 100 Head
Hartke GH 412a Cab
Ibanez Weaping Demon

I think so. Eventually your gunna want to upgrade tho. There is some feedback on the overdrive channel, but thats to be expaected. I recently purchchased the ibanez tone blaster 100 head. which is the highest version of that amp and i love it.

Try looking for the newer version of the IJS40, its called the IJX40. There's a 15W amp included, better than the 10W in the IJS40 pack.

That guitar sounds really nice and heavy with a ToneZone in the bridge.. that's what I did,
made it a lot heavier.. which is good.. i guess.. depends.
My totallyawesomeness gear:

-Ibanez GRX40 *die*
-Peavey Valveking 112 50w Combo *yay*

i agree with children of ruin. this package is better than the fender, les paul and other packages. trust me, you cant go wrong with this one. ive been playing for a couple years and i sometimes i prefer that guitar to my hellraiser (which costs about 400 - 500 bucks more). the amp is superb for a beginner, but youll wanna upgrade in a year or two. cable kinda sucks, but it should last you a good couple of months. tuner is ok. book and charts are nice. dvd is worthless. whammie bar is kewl. all in all, GREAT PACKAGE!

50 bucks?, from this site its just more expensive by 4 cents. The IJX40 have a little bit of everything compared to the IJS40. The jumpstart GTA15W amp is better than the IBZ10G but the tone is normal though, good for beginner.

ahh true, but i really wanted to buy a guitar froma local store... for easy acces, rathher than buying off a Web-site. The IJS40 is 200 dolars at the local store, but they do not have the IJX40. :-) so no offense to andysmusiconline.com, but i think most of you would agree with me that ifyou had the almost the same access, you would rather buy from a walk-in and buy store, rather than having to wait foir the guitar, and if you dont like it and change your mind, you have to go through sending it back, where as a local store, you drive right up to it and return it. The local store is www.samash.com and they have the IJS40 for $199.99
