What's there to feel guilty about?

Guilt is a form of fear, and if you feel guilty about liking some certain music then you are scared that you will be revealed as a fake, and the falsified image you portray will crumble before you.

You could always just be yourself...

Johnny Cash, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine. I find them all to be good bands.

Rush, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa and King Crimson are sort of guilty pleasure but they're all kickass bands so it's alright.

I have no guilty pleasures, I'm not afraid to admit I like Thrice, Alkaline Trio, Frank Zappa, or any non-metal band.

You are all silly people.

I'm not ashamed of my music, in any form. I love Necrophagist and Strapping Young Lad just as much as I love The Strokes, Travis, Frank Zappa, Muse, Prodigy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Nightwish or Metallica.
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

I like plenty of music that isn't metal, and I see no reason to feel guilty about it. Hell, The Manic Street Preachers are my second favorite band after Black Sabbath, and I rate Neil Young and Roger Waters as two of the greatest song-writers ever.

Why do Nightwish and Metallica fall in with your on-metal bands?

They don't, those are random names. They're there just there to express that I also like metal of all sorts of kinds, from the brutal (Necrophagist) to the weird (SYL) to the melodic and more mainstream-ish stuff (Metallica and Nightwish).

Muse, GlassJAw, At The Drive-In, Smashing Pumpkins, some Radiohead and REM and Phil Collins / Genesis.

Not that they're guilty pleasures just they are the non-metal bands I listen to.
