Hey guys,

Which is the difference between a Lo Pro and a Regular tremolo?

I'm going to make a custom Dean, and I asked for a Schaller trem, but I don't know if the Lo Pro is better than the Regular version...

Please Help!

the lo pro allows you to palm mute without any worry of hitting the fine tuners, and is a little more sleek looking.

The low pro basically has it's fine tuners not sticking up.

I prefer the hi-pro though, it looks much cool,er and probably has more range, unless you deeproute with the lo pro

Nice...
Getting a Custom guitar and hardly knowing the difference between floyds..
Either way,
The Lo-Pro has all the basics of a normal Floyd, but its just rearanged for a sleeker overall design..
its basically the same deal as a normal one, its usually preference...

That's not a Lo-Pro, it's a Lo Profile Schaller floyd rose. Don't get the two confused. The Lo-Pro is an Ibanez tremolo.

Hm,
maybe we don't want to type "low profile"
ever single time..

ever notice
"Low Profile" and "Lo-Pro" kinda have some simlarities?
also, Ibanez doesn't make the "lo-pro" either way, its a floyd rose design..
the edge (or one of the edge variants) is based off the Lo-Pro.

There is an Ibanez trem called the Lo-Pro. It's regarded by some (Including Steve Vai) as the best trem ever made.

I never said the trem was Ibanez' design, just that they made the trem most commonly rferred to as the Lo-Pro.

low profile = easier palm muting
normal = more flutter due to increased mass

that's how it is with the edge and lo-pro.
