the other day, i got this ibanez rg470 for like 150 bucks, and it plays great... in standard i keep on trying to tune down, full step, but i mean... i know how, its just, whenever i try to, the bridge gets too loose, and it tends to go out of tune.

basically, to do different tunings you need to adjust the springs inside the gutiar. I also had this problem, im stuck to standard and drop D.

yeh if you do plan on down tuning very much often stay away from floyd rose bridges since its going to be too much of a hassle to get it to work. otherwise you could buy a tremol-no in which you keep it in hardtail mode and down tune all you want but you still cant use the trem no more.
