Hey!

I recently got about 350? after selling all of my games and books and I feel its time I get a new amp! I listen a lot of metalcore (Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Killswitch) and metal (Children of Bodom, AT The Gates)so I would want a amp with a higher gain and quite a lot of distortion. I own a Ibanez RG Series 370-B and I've been playing for 5-6 years so im fairly experienced! Also I play in a medium sized room which is isolated from my flat so 2 much noise isn't a problem but I wouldn't need a uber-powerful one as I never play gigs. The Price limit would be around 450?. Thx in advance

I guess we get em cheaper over here. You can get a combo for about 1800 canadian . How about the randall's are they reasonable over there? http://www.randallamplifiers.com/ They are good loud amps for metal players.

That's a good one and the randall rm50b is a little more but you can change the modules to the different type of sound you want, you get 2 modules with it i believe.

This is a US site so the price is a little more than you want to spend, about I'm guessing 50 pounds .I have no pound symbol on my keyboard LOL Also if you go clubing out here you see a lot of peavy amps with working guitarist, ones like the delta blues with 1 15 inch speaker.

One more note ,what about these hughes & Kettner players class amps ? Ive been hearing a lot of good about them but there hard to find in my part of Canada. Are they available there ?

I live in Belgium! I don't know! I might go to my local guitar shop tomorrow or after...

Btw I searched for a review for the RG75G2

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/guitar_amplifiers/randall/rg75g2/index.html

AMAZING AMP! i've played marshall MG series and AVT series, and personally, i think this is a MUCH better amp. well, it has a more saturated gain as the distortion is really tight. lil bit of fuzz at high gains, but not anything to worry about at all.

I don't think it would be that hard to be much better than an MG or AVT

And If you're in europe (Or anywhere apart from North America for that matter) I'd stay away from Peaveys, they make some nice amps, but they're hugely overpriced outside North America.

Maybe look out for something like an Ashdown Fallen Angel or Marshall DSL401? Though you'd probably want an overdrive pedal with the Marshall

The Matrix is great, but I think he could look at tube combos (5150s?) with his budget.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?
