It would damage it when you turned it up loud. As long as only 250 watts of power is going into it you won't hurt it. You are better off investing in a higher wattage cab/

Aside from low volume, I believe the impedance (no. of ohms) on the head must match the one on the cab...

Hes right, but you'll be ok aslong as you dont crank the volume up full!

You'll be able to tell when the speakers have reached their peaks, the sound will start to distort and if you dont notice that after a while your cab will turn into a smoke machine .
