Ok been toying with my bass some more and I have come to realize I am extremaly concerned with my technique I am using with my left hand. I am not really sure I am doing it correctly. Normaly when I play I tried following what I have read with keeping 1 finger on each fret.. So I tried playing a scale using first position. fingers on the first second third and forth fret with my thumb behind my middle finger. However I find that the strings tend to buzz alot when I play this way and my wrist hurts from doing this. Am i doing this correctly, if not than any suggestions how how your left hand should work or possible good practice for becoming used to using your hand like that. Believe I was playing F major. I was told that playing the scales like the A major, F major ect would help me alot with this.
