How do you think this would look, i'm looking at upgrading the pickups on my HSS guitar to swineshead pickups.

I care how it would look, because wouldn't covered and uncovered sound the same? if it was the same pickup?

It does make a slight difference to your tone. A cover is used to 'sweeten' the tone. It sounds warmer and rounder, while without the cover it would be brighter. But if you want to know how it looks, see my edited post.

Yes I am, exact same pickups colours and setup, except my guitar has like a trans orange quilt maple veneer top

it'd be pretty fine if you ask me, i was just thinking about doing the same thing on my jackson (hss) once when i get the money for new pickups...

I think it'd look a bit ugly.

Maybe try going open Zebra on the humbucker?

Or, go crazy and get them all glow in the dark
