my teach confused me about this but ill ask him next week and im lazy so ill post a thread.He tells me to hit the target note say A for example the key im soloing in and that would be the target the note A but does it hafto be hit everytime we repeat the chords? i cant believe i missed this shoulda known it awile ago but just been buggng me all day any help is appreciated (sp...?)

There's no target note really. It depends on what key you're soloing in. There may be target out of key notes though.

IMO:
b3-Bluesy
b5(#4)dark/warm(depends on what note is played before or after it)
b7-Jazzy
b2-exotic/dark
b1-dissanant
