hello

if one were inclined to pull 2 power tubes out of the 5150 II in order to make it 60 watt, would it matter which 2 power tubes should be pulled? like the 2 in the middle or the 2 on the left or anything? thanks dudes.

with the 4 tube amps, the tubes are usually lined up in pairs. You want to take one tube from each half of the push pull in the AB circuit. That would be either the outter 2, or inner 2. Make sure you adjust your amp impedance also. You are taking out a set of parallel tubes, so that doubles the impedance the head is expecting. So, your 4ohm setting is now expecting 8ohm, your 8ohm setting now expects 16 ohm, etc...
