Thanks for the info on Torres. That's helpful to me. I figure building a kit will be challenge enough without having problems with the company.

That would be a really hard first build too...I'd start with something simple like a Fender Champ or 5e3. (Old tweed Deluxe.)

^yeah, i'd go for something fairly simple on the first build too (you can do it for practice and try to sell it later if you don't want it)

But if you can see pictures of the insides, and you say to yourself "hey, I could totally build that," go for it.

Sure, good luck! If you get around to building one, start a thread with some pics!

Has anyone tried the AX84 designs??

http://www.ax84.com

they give you the parts lists on the site (as well as the schematics and build guides) or you can go to doberman amps (their partner) to buy the kits.

I was just wondering if anyone here has built one. I'm thinking of one of those for a first build.
Washburn Dime 333, Ibanez RG7620, LTD MH250NT w/ EMG 89x's
Modded Boss Metal Zone, Boss CE-5, DD-3, Intellifex
Jet City JCA2112RC, ADA MP-1 Preamp,
GK 400RB Bass head
Marshall and Ampeg 4x12 cabs

any amp can be made to be just a head

though that kit looks like it's meant to be made into a full combo
