Do you mean a string-through with a tremelo, or a string-through hardtail?

Without a tremelo, there's nothing to attach the tremel-no to.

The tremel-NO is a screw-and-spring based device which fits to a standard strat-type Tremelo and, with a few adjustments, allows the tremelo to be held fast, to function in one direction only, or to float fully.

Classic tremelos are cheaper than FR's and others.

Tuning... Depends. You don't have the locking bridge, but with locking tuners, you can get some good stability. With a Tremel-NO, you're pretty much set.
