Timelessly good doom. We had distribution on John Perez' label for our last album. Cool guy.

Awesome doom, heard a few tracks from "Alone" and im realy liking it.
- Treat people the way you would like to be treated.
- Don't do to others what you wouldn't like others to do to you.
- Live and let live.
- Always tell the truth.
- If someone looks at you, just give them a nice smile they won't soon forget

Heard a song by them called 'Mental Pictures' on a sampler cd and i enjoy it. What's a good album to start with?

I have Alone, Adagio, Beyond the Crimson Horizon and I just ordered Through the Darkest Hour. Suffice it to say this is one of my favorites bands and definately the best doom band I have heard thus far. John Perez is such a great guitar player and Lowe's vocals own so much. Alone is actually my favorite album of theirs.

I *heart* this band, quite a great thing to have Robert go to Candlemass - for him too (Solitude don't really seem as active as Candlemass are....).

I've currently got "Beyond the Crimson Horizon" and "Through the Darkest Hour", and by the sounds of things, I should get this "Alone" next?

Off-topic but has anyone heard Concept of God. It has all SA members either past/present. I'm curious if I should pick it up.

I'm no doom conniseur, but this is really good stuff, it's got a lot of the elements I look for in most of my music.
If you see me in the pit, know that I'm only there because the metal forum is moving slowly.

Oh I see what you did there.

Only heard 'Where Angels Dare To Tread', definetly gonna check out some more. I like doom.

One of the best doom bands ever. Rob Lowe is matched by few other singers in any genre, and the instrumental elements are expertly crafted. Beyond the Crimson Horizon is my personal fav (see sig.) How do Adagio and Downfall compare to the rest of their work? Those are the ones I don't have.

Into The Depths of Sorrow is pure magnificent win.

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

Yeah, SA is great. One of the verses on one of their songs was influenced by Carcass, believe it or not.
#22
Beyond the Crimson Horizon FTW, and Alone is a close second!

Although all their stuff is good.
#23
I've only heard their first 2.

Seeds of the Desolate is an AMAZING song.

Listen to their latest, IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND.

Plus, it has the best SA album art

Alone along with C-Mass's Nightfall were the two albums that introduced me to doom metal and it's still one of my favorite doom albums.

The 9th Day: Awakening and Pain are fantastic songs. I admit to needing to give the album more quality time though.

I also think that the song Spiral Descent from the Adagio album is fvcking sick.

This band needs to release a new album!

I have been listening to Scent of Death on repeat for the better half of this morning.

I meant to listen to all of Alone, but I have failed at getting to the second song.

okay so i currently have Beyond the Crimson Horizon and Adagio.
Both solid album's but i much preferred BTCH compared to Adagio, which album should I go for next.
#36
Alone is phenomenal. You'll love it. Just get it.

And after that get whatever you can get your grubby little hands on. Save "Downfall" for last though as it is the slacker of the lot, but still has some choice cuts within it.
