To start I'm sorry if this thread has been made, it probably has but i haven't been able to find one that clearly answers the question, or not in a way i understand anyway.

The question is: How do I learn scales?

I know you can do it without just memorising them and im vaguely aware you can use shapes to do it, but theres still so many and I'm just really lost.

Any chance of some help?

Shapes is one way though I wouldn't recommend it. You can learn the intervals between the notes of a scale that way you can make whatever shape you want. If you don't know what intervals are, learn them and memorize them(it's not very hard.) This way, instead of memorizing the shapes for every scale and how to play them up and down the neck, you just need the interval patterns.
