the ltd has emg's....and the jackson has duncans. if you plan on keeping the guitar all stock. then get the ltd. if you can afford to replace the pickups, change them to an active pickup.

Ok, well I would recommend getting the amp very soon. Ask your parents if they can front you some money. Their motivation: You will sound like shit until you get a new amp. As far as amps go, you can get some decent combo amps for around 2 - 3 hundred dollars easily. Just have to look around. Vox makes good ones; they get my vote. Just stay away from Line 6, for they are t3h sucky.

And what are you trying to get at here? You aren't very clear...

also i got a MT-2 so would that change ur input on amps?

Well, you can still get yourself a combo amp so you have the other effects to play with. I use a distortion pedal through my Line 6 combo, and it sounds pretty good for a Spider.

You're better off going for a Roland for metal...

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Roland-Cube-60-Guitar-Amp?sku=480197

Then take whatever you have, save up and get this guitar.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-2005-S470-Electric-Guitar-?sku=519969

Then save some cash and get pickups, BAM good equipment

NOTE Stay away from Line 6.... I learnt my lesson, and now have a Roland.
