The old ESP custom shop ones were amazing.
As I see the ignorance of humanity engulfing reason and sanity like a wave of perpetual defeat and misery I ask myself, when the hell is everyone going to shut up and actually think?

i dunno, i like the body alot, but im not about to put out1200 bucks for a gibson any time soon, but yes the esp ones are nice if you can get one that matches for a change

The Gibson Explorer is a pretty nice guitar. It does blues, rock and metal damn good, but not jazz. It's tone is too raw for that kind of thing. I have an ESP explorer and it's pretty decent as well. But it's not good at blues. The explorers has a damn good playability.

Well, the Ibanez DT200 is kind of explorer-shaped. I have one and it kicks the ass of any other guitar I've tried in it's price range. Good for shred and metal, holds in own with classic rock and older blues-rock, but the cleans are little lacking. A good amp makes up for all that though. As far as my experience with it goes, it plays well and feels good. I've never actually had the chance to try a real explorer though, damn expensive gibsons

You mean you like the way it looks? Have you played one?

I wouldn't recommend dropping over a thousand dollars ona guitar you've never played, unless you have that sort of disposable cash.

I personally like them, and I'm thinking about getting one, but again I've played quite a few.Yes, they have the ability to play metal and rock.
I listen to music and I don't need your opinions about what I listen to.

I love Explorers, I mean all the different companies have their own differing version, but I really love the 1958 Gibson Explorer, and all the old Gibson models htat James Hetfield used to play before he went over to ESPs. The Epi Explorers are one of the best sub £500 Epis, and sound great with a pickup upgrade (which I'd reccomend for pretty much any sub £500 guitar). The only thing I don't like about my Explorer is that the frets are a little smaller than I'd like, but that's a minor thing.

I love that guys from lynyrd skynyrd. They have to be the coolest looking guitars. I favor the natural finish though
