I've heard some bad stuff about the edge pro 2's and 3's but I don't actually know what's wrong with them. If anyone could explain I'm sure it would help me and the threadstarter out haha.

The poor material, that's what's wrong. Knife edges will wear out if you use it often, and tuning will become unstable, as well as intonation. Just save up a 2 or 300 bucks and buy an Edge Pro version.
