Ok, I'm an intermidaite player, and I can play decently fast now, on the neck and picking, and I have two problems. One: I cant switch strings too well and continue my speed why making it sound smooth.... Two: I can improvise some prett cool stuff, but when It comes to playing other bands stuff, like maybe some Dream Theater for example, Its hard for me to play, Which I think it may be because of the first problem, I can't switch strings too well.... Is there anything I can do to help improve those problems?

That's interesting that you can improv but you can't play written stuff. Usually it's the other way around. At least with me it is. Try scales maybe? Start slow and get faster.

run thru some scales for practice switching strings, slowly at first, and then build your speed up
