Yes, but the sound might not be as good as a bass specific pedal. note i say "might not". Some guitar pedals sound absolutely fine. (Marshall guv'nor, Boss chorus pedals, Big Muff etc).

yes. theres no harm in trying. you can do the reverse too, guitar into bass effects.
