Hey all, I'm a college student with nothing but time to play guitar and admire those who play it much better than I do. I just want to make sure that everyone has heard of Silvertide, a 5 piece outfit from Philly, by this point in time. I think that the way popular music is made today is a travesty, and often, the most talent doesn't mean the most success. These guys wail hard, Nick is one of the most sick lead players I've seen in 22 years, and Mark is a great rhythm player. I've been to 3 live gigs, and I could see them play everyday. My bandmates and I listen to the 'tide every night to drink, everyday in the car, and in our rooms while we do homework. Again, these guys are amazing, I'm trying to do my part to fix popular music. Give em a chance...Thanks for reading. Please let me know if you readers know of any bands, new or old, that warrant a place in popular music but maybe don't have it yet. Cheers!

Danny

I think they are pretty damn good. I got all my friends on them now too, they are quite solid. Awaiting a follow-up though...

Is that the band with the song about not coming home? Very nice band if it is.

I love the band. I think they do a much better job than Jett of being that throwback 70s rock vibe (but Wolfmother beats Silvertide, even though Silvertide's guitarists are better).

SIlvertide has it all though. The vocals have that throwback vibe, where it's a little more balls out than just screaming at everyone. The guitarists are crazy awesome as well. THEY know that the solo isn't dead, and they bring it. The drums are powerful as well. They are ver dynamic, and REALLY capture that rock vibe.

But I've been a fan for some time, so I've had lots of time to REALLY go over it.

Does anyone know about whats happening with them? None of their stuff has been updated for like a year, and according to wiki, they fired their rhythm guitarist and drummer. I just hope they havent broken up
