You know the most common harmonizing is using thirds right?
Well unless you have a basic understanding of which note in a scale is powerful (they all have different propertys to a powerful sound) then the harmonizing might not always sound good. Just play around with it more, remember if the riff is really good singular than a harmonized part may not be suitable.

What speed is this/how many bars does that cover up?
I can try and help you find a harmony if you want. Also those vibratos, little ones or wide Zakk Wylde-esque things?

I know how to harmonize, but I cant get it to sound good. and I would appreciate it

I can only help if I know what I'm working with, bar length is it in common 4/4 etc.
