i got a roland cube 60. i love it. its awesome but i was wondering if i could hook a cabinet to it to make it even more powerful. the outputs on the back are:

EXT speaker (8 weird symbol, i think it means ohms and 60 watts max)
then it has a line out and a recording out

will i be able to hook up any cabiner to it, if yes then which one? can somebody send me a link wit specs?? thnkx

that sign is omega, which symbolizes ohms.
you can hook up any 8 ohm 60 watt cabinets to it.
strat player forever.

im kinda stuck cause i cant seem to find one with those specs. can somebody drop me a link to a cabinet that is 60 watts (or a bit less) and 8 ohms.

actually what you need is 60 watts OR more. all that means is that you need a cabinet that can handle at least 60 watts before you start rippin speakers.

so you need a cab that is 8 ohms and 60 OR more watts.

any cab that is 8ohms will work. Its not going to make your amp louder though, it will just sound a bit bigger.

For every 2 speakers you gain 3 db of actual volume, so with a 412 you would get 6db which is quite a lot louder than just 1 speaker from the amp.

And about your question about cabinets. Your gonna want something with 60-120 watt power handleing, if your not pushing the speakers with enough power they sound like crap and if your killing them, well, the get killed.

Yeah but running 4 speakers with a 60watt modeling amp isnt going to sound very good at high volumes.

No solid state amp is gonna sound good at high volumes unless they are at least 300 watts.

there's absolutely no point. you won't really gain anything. if you want a loud amp, switch to tube. the JSX owns anything solid state.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

I'd take a Vetta, HD-147, or Randall Warhead any day, but thats just my opinion.

What you said in the middles made about as much sense as beating off before watching porno.

Its not gonna sound good, it will work fine.

A good cabinet i would trust for under $600 would be Carvin, B-52, Avatar, and Randall. A real line 6 cab, not no spider cab, would work good in your case because you have a modeling amp.
