Never played it but that pick guard looks like a leppard spotted man thong. It would definately be replaced ASAP if I got it.

I've heard a lot of good things on this board about Blueridge guitars. The forward X bracing that they talk about is something martin used on there prewar guitars. The tone on the old style bracing is generaly said to be far better than the tone you get from the standard X braced guitar. The problem with the Forward X bracing is that they will need more frequent neck resets (every 10 to 15 years) and the soundboard will "belly up" which doesn't hurt the tone but many people still get freaked out by it. If you ask me it's a small price to pay for the better tone you get.

Blueridge guitars are also quite resonably priced. You can get a solid mahogany back and sides, and a solid spruce top on a blueridge for the same price that you can get an Ibanez made out of plywood. So, which do you think is a better deal?

So all and all, blueridge guitars are good guitars.
