Can anyone give me any help or advice here. Someone shut my fret hand in a door yesterday, most of my fingers are ok, but my middle finger (the one I mainly bend with), is incredibly painful to play with. Does anyone know any ways of making it better quickly, or to play so it doesn't hurt, anything so I can play.

You could try the ol' fashioned method of painkillers. i.e. Ibuprofen, Tylenol etc... Or you can just fight through the pain. I broke my collar bone and I still played. Hurt like a bitch but I fought through it to keep my practicing going.

Cut it off. It's just slowing you down.
Ever wonder what rock would have sounded like in 2010 if grunge hadn't made it cool to be stupid?
