Hate casts a spark, but
Love builds a fire
Life can be dark, but
Kaitlyn inspires
I'd give her it all,
but she wouldnt take me
I payed for a show,
the scar tissue was free.

The deaf can hear it;
The blind can see it;
The mute can tell you: I was wrong.
I hope she can see this,
I hope I can be this:
I hope she feels like I did all along.

Her heart's shining through
when she takes up the stage
And when she starts to play,
I break out of this cage
My heart's the sole victim,
She's its kidnapper,
Ive got Stockholm Syndrome
For ever and after.

The deaf can hear it;
The blind can see it;
The mute can tell you: I was wrong.
I hope she can see this,
I hope I can be this:
I hope she feels like I did all along.

And mabye Im just not the hero in life,
The one with the beautiful girl as a wife
and mabye She'll never take me as her own
But if I can still dream her, my heart is at home

The deaf can hear it;
The blind can see it;
The mute can tell you: I was wrong.
I hope she can see this,
I hope I can be this:
I hope she feels like I did all along.

The deaf can hear it;
The blind can see it;
The mute can tell you: I was wrong.
I hope she can see this,
I hope I can be this:
I hope she feels like I did all along.

Awwww this piece is CUTE!
The first stanza and the "deaf can hear it" stanzas are the best. the only part that truely let the rest down was the third stanza, just re-work it a bit.
It's really hard not to smile when reading this piece, its very heartfelt and it shines through. great job.

In my opinion (I'm not an expert, but...) there's an element to songwriting that makes technique, cliche, rhyme, meter, and all other elements of songwriting obsolete, and that's pure, raw emotion. And this is some of the most pure, raw emotion I've ever read.

Reading your lyrics, and realizing that some people really do just pour their feelings onto paper still, has made my day just a little bit better.

Thank you
