just bought a jim harley off my mate for £60
now i know nothing of bass but my D string is buzzing when i pluck it open

thats no fretting of the string at it buzzes. i think its hitting the 3rd or 4th fret bar thingy but im not sure. this isnt when played through and amp and is very annoying

now is the neck warped? cos if so i havent paid my friend yet so i may just give it back.

also how good are jim harleys?

many thanks

maybe the nut is too worn down or something, other than a new one, you cant really. just mess with it on your bridge, see what you can do.
