Hey im looking at buying a schecter c-1 probably with the floyd rose but i was just wondering what the neck is like. I currently play an epiphone Les paul black beauty which is fine but i find that the neck is a bit to fat so is it thinner on the C-1?

your help would be greatly appriciated!

its kinda fat, and the finish on it can make it slow. its like a glossy type thing that gets greasy and slow when you sweat.

It's a little less fat than a Les Paul neck but larger than say a Strat or an Ibanez neck.

That's the scale length of the instrument

the necks are big. simialr to a 12 string neck. i'd say go with a X50 if you want a smaller neck.

X40 if you want a trem.

You don't argue with tubadude on Washburn-related matters, he flosses with the G string from a set of 0.12's y'know....and it's WOUND!

No, your X50 neck is smaller, not better - it's entirely subjective

lol, it's not that big, it's not that small either, i like it, but i have big hands, don't worry about the finish on the neck, if you shred constantly it might get annoying, but i love the way mine feels

I figured it'd be really fat and slow, but after I tried it, it really isn't. It was a little jump from my Ibanez neck, but after I got mine, I got used to it fast.

You'd think it would be slower, but in reality it's not any slower than an unfinished neck. It takes a few to get used to.
