Since the majority of people on this board listen to some sort of rock genre I feel this thread is nice because the majority of rock bands come from Britain or the U.S. So tell me what your 5 favorites are that aren't from those places (They don't have to be rock either) Heres mine

1. Rush (Canada)
2. Angra (Brazil)
3. Rhapsody (Italy)
4. Helloween (Germany)
5. The Scorpions (Germany)

Honerable Mentions (In no particular order)

Voivod (Canada)
AC/DC (Australia)
Celtic Frost (Switzerland)
Sepultura (Brazil)
Ozielniho (Brazil)
Opeth (Sweeden)
Edit: How could I have forgot Children of Bodom? (Finland)

also I am planning on getting Blind Guardian and Gamma Ray CD's and I have high expectations from them so they may end up on the list.

Yeah if I was doing greatest they would definately be No.1. But this is your opinion how "Great" or how "Revolutionary" a band is has nothing to do with it.

AC/DC arenrt from austrailia they just relocated to there, most of them are scottish.

That's not true. I'm pretty sure that Angus and Malcolm are Scottish.

I just looked it up on Wikipedia. The young brothers were born in Scotland but moved to Australia in 1963. Thats 13 years before their first album. So they may be from Scotland but the band is from Australia.
