I'm trying to learn how to do bends, and one problem I'm having is that when I release the bend, I wind up accidentally plucking the adjacent string. Does this mean my technique is wrong, or do I just need to practice more? I'm basically trying to lock my fingers in a curved position, and twisting my wrist to push the string up, using my ring finger and middle finger. Does this sound right?

Bending takes alot of finger controll and stamina, bends are really what hurt your fingers. It sounds like you're about where you should be. Stick with it and as your controll gets better so will the sound... and the pain might even go away someday.

No.

It's like this you need to mute those strings with the palm of your right hand so you don't get string noise.
