yeas, another melodeath thread o well if you dont like them. Im not the biggest fan of melodeath, like bodom (blah), but arsis caught my attention when i heard them on sirius sat. radio (yeah, they actually have a decent metal station, even though they play mainly the harder metalcore and alot of grindcore) i looked them up and i went out and bought "a celebration of guilt", i loved it, so i bought there cd "a diamond for disease and it was even better.

My fav. songs are "a diamond for disease", "the face of my innocence", and "the maddening distain."

a diamond for the disease supprised me cause when i first saw the length of the sng i figured it would get very boring, but it wasnt, it has the brilliance of a opeth song.

Who else is a fan of arsis?

discuss...

I like Arsis. My friend orgasmed over them when he first listened to them a few weeks ago. I might get Celebration of Guilt the next time I buy a batch of CD's. Do they have another full length coming out?

HELL YEAH. Lust Before the Maggots Conquest and Oh the Humanity are really good. I hope the rest of the album is just as good, but I'm not worried.

I've got a Celebration of Guilt and it's one of my favorite metal albums, period, and maybe one of the best for a debut. United in Regret isn't as good as ACoG, but it's still awesome.
Favorite Bands: Arsis, Carcass, Behemoth, Children of Bodom, Death, Dissection, Wintersun, Kalmah, Ensiferum

I love them. United in Regret is on par with Celebration in my opinion. Also their A Diamond for Disease ep was killer. I love this band.

i liked Celebration of Guilt better. they did a genre-switch on United in Regret and are much more technical death then melodic death on the new cd.

Yeah, but it grew on me after a while. Still isnt half as good as Celebration IMO, but still a great CD. It's one of those CDs that if it was released by a band I didnt know, and I heard it, I'd be alot more impressed.
#35
Well, according to their MySpace bulletin, their drummer left. He was awesome.

A new dude is replacing him I guess, but still. Mike started it with James.

i was watching some videos on youtube of them live, and James sounded horrible, WTF is with that, he sounds great in studio, i dont see how you can sound that bad live, maybe its the recording quality, but the music (guitars etc.) sounded fine
