Im planning on buying an electric guitar from musicians friend and wanted to buy an amp along with it but i seem to be having alittle... well more like alot of trouble finding them i can find power amps but i would like to just get a little 10 watt atm im a beginner and dont need anything fancy atm... also the guitar im looking at is this one http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Silvertone-Paul-Stanley-Sovereign-Special-Electric-Guitar?sku=511695 if anyone has any info on that guitar if its worth the buy ect i would appresheate it, i was also looking at this one http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Silvertone-Paul-Stanley-Apocalypse-Special-Electric-Guitar?sku=511692
I like the look of the Sovereign more, although the Apocalypse does have 24 frets, anyway my take on it is that im a beginner might as well just get the one i like the look of, they both appear to be extreamly great buys to me any other $99 guitar out there doesnt have those types of looks to them and im just guessing the playablitly/sound is better on these also...

I wouldn't get the Apocalypse, my friend has one and its not that great. If you get it though you will definatly need to get different p-ups later on, the ones on it are crap and they won't stop wiggling. Don't know much about the other one.
Gear:
Hagstrom Viking cherry
Crate B15 bass amp
Squier SQ MB-5 5-String Bass
Epi Valve Junior head
Russian Muff

an ok $99 guitar is the dean evo, basswood body. it's still just a starter, but im guessing will hold up a lot better than a silvertone.

if u have another $125 left over, i suggest a micro cube with effects.

jj1565 you are always showing up when i post =) thanks for the info, unfortanatly i already went ahead and bought the Sovereign, im not sure if there is anyway to change my order but hopefully it will be worth it... i ended up going with a Behringer Firebird GX108 amp, for this guitar/amp i am just looking for something pretty good on the lowest budget possable to tide me over till i can save up for that good acoustic-electric you were helping me with the other day
btw i checked out a few of your songs on your site, your sounding good girl keep it up, cant wait till i can play like that... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Behringer-Firebird-GX108-Practice-Combo?sku=480676

behringer isnt an overwhelming favorite. but for $50 they are all ~about~ the same.

either way, u can get ur gear from MF, try it out. if its buzzing or messed up in anyway, u can call the 800 number and tell the sales person they are defective.
they will send u a return label, toss it all back in the box and ship it back to them for full refund.

ive returned a vox pedal and even refused delivery on a guitar once. full refunds.
ive kept dozens of other things, those were just flukes im sure.

Note: to get a full refund back to ur credit card it will take a couple of weeks. because thy refund after they restock it.
and to get free shipping return label it would need to be a defect, not just something u hated.

it might just be that u really like these items and are doing back flips over them.
$99 guitars are all starters, so if u get a good one ur golden.

thanks for the nice words and good luck im sure ull be playing soon
