Well Ive had my squire affinity strat for a year now and Im having troubles playing fast rapid fire riffs such as dyers eve or bodom beach terror. it seems like evenutally the string is moving to much to pick at it and Im wonder
1.if tenser strings would work
2.how would you tense strings

You cant make the strings you have on there any more tense without tuning the strings up, which isn't a good idea and im sure thats not what you want if youre playing children of bodom.

Get thicker strings. What gauge do you have on there right now?

I would guess that you care playing an .08 or .09 so a higher gauge string would have higher tension. Thats about the only way I can think of..
