Often you here something like "Seamus is the most unliked song by Pink Floyd. There are fans who seem to nearly hate it.", which is exactly the opposite of what I think. I really love this song and it complements Meddle very well - on Meddle each of the six songs sounds different from the others, each has its own style, sound and emotions it causes when listening to it, from One Of These Day over San Tropez, Seamus and Echoes - you get the idea. IMO it's another evidence of Pink Floyd's incredible versatility.

What do you think of it? Do you like the song?

There is no dark side of the moon, as a matter of fact, it's all dark.

Yeah I like Seamus a lot. My favorite song from that album is probably Fearless though.

Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.

do you know how many wannabe Floyd fans don't even know that
'Meddle' is a Floyd album? Or that Sid Barret was ever in the band? Sickening.. The whole Meddle album is classic, including seamus.

I personally love this song, but I've heard the same things about fans not enjoying the song. I havent been able to figure out why anyone wouldnt like the song, but it doesnt really make any difference one way or another. Its great how they mic up the dog and he almost sings along..

^^^ fearless or echoes is my favorite track off that record. I wouldn't think its that rare, the songs lyrics hold so much meaning.

well, at least it's rare that one states Fearless being his favourite song of Meddle without even mentioning Echoes or OotD, isn't it?

He asks because there is the Liverpool Football Club anthem in it (You'll never walk alone).

Not if they have the whole album. Echoes is better off Live at Pompeii than off Meddle, therefore I prefer the Pompeii version and dislike the Meddle version because it isn't as good. It is rather disappointing. OoTD is a great song but not my favourite off Meddle because it is again not as good as the Pompeii version. My favourite off Meddle would be either Fearless or San Tropez, both very good lyrically and musically. Can't decide which though...
