Im like getting sick of listening to metal, hard rock and all that stuff. I'm looking for bands a softer side, with like jazzy or bluesy influences (or maybe just softer). I got told to hear to the Foo Fighters, 311, Incubus, etc. Could you tell me any good bands i should know about along with their best songs (in your opinion). Thanks.

Jimi Hendrix - Good songs include "Castles made of Sand" and "All along the watch tower"
Matchbox 20 - Good songs include "Bright Lights" and "3 AM"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Any song of theirs is good

Other bands you could check out are Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Powderfinger, The Beatles... the list goes on and on.

Silverchair, is the proof and composers still exist, and have a full-though through approach about the music they write.

How about Pearl Jam? they have a good softer side. Their album Riot Act has some very good softer songs on it e.g. I Am Mine, Thumbing My Way, Love Boat Captain.
