as my main rig. Is that a good combo to play music like As i lay dying up to music like suicide silence? Im open to other suggestions if nessasary.

way overkill on the amp. for the same money, you could get a decent tube combo, seeing as you're not gonna fill up stadiums on your first gigs. you don't need a halfstack.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

ehhh if you have the money why not get a halfstack. at least its tube. good choice on guitar but you could also save money by getting a valveking 212
My Rig

>various magicial noise boxes
>Peavey Classic 50 212

because getting a halfstack is way more than most people need. he's not gonna be gigging, and $800 will buy a really nice tube combo, way better than the valveking.

umm i dont think the valve king has that much gain if i remember, i was messing around and it was more of the classic warm tone than the high gain tone, maybe with an OD pedal, i would suggest maybe a 2x12 XXX
