I am thinking about getting a marshall amp but im not sure which one to get. Is there much difference in the avts to the mgs or should i just save up for a tsl or dsl? and is there much difference in the sound in a half stack than a combo?

I play alot of punk (anti-flag, blink 182, nofx, offspring, rise against) and sone metal (metallica, trivium)

What other amps should i concider?

I think you should get a Fender Twin Reverb and an ass-load of effect pedals. Thats what I am gonna do.

If you HAVE to have a Marshall, DO NOT, i mean DO NOT!!!!! get the MG or AVT, save up for the DSL, id personally not get the TSL, but thats just me. DSL would do you well.

But why do you have to have a Marshall? Just because the Marshall name is on it doesnt mean its the best amp.

Most people will state the mg,s and avts are crap, and they're not great, but not thaat bad... dsl's are very good, especially the heads, but the combo's are also great. They are all-tube so Probably one of the jcm2000 dsl's...
