ok, so on my squier tele (laugh all you want, its good for ska) it has a messed up input jack.
before last night, it would wiggle and jiggle, but not affect any of the sound.
but after my gig last night, it did something that i've never seen happen.
i would hit a note, and it would sound really quiet. but then i would touch either the pickups, or the bridge, or the little metal ring aroung the pickup selector, and it would go to normal volume

what can i do?
is my best bet just to get my ass over to the guitar store in town? how much would it cost?
are there any remedies that you can think of, that's easy on the wallet?

any help would be grately appreciated!!
yeah, i've got gear too...

When u are touching a metal part on your guitar, you're acting as a ground. I think it would mean something isnt properly soldered around your input jack. Unscrew it and look if you see anything wrong with the wires. It wouldnt cost too much to repair...
