So... I need to know some. Cause I write really dark lyrics but I cant always come up with the dark/sad riffs.

Minor chords and minor scales, with occasional major changes tend to sound the most depressing.

---------------------------------------------5--7--8---
------------------------------------5--6--8------------
--------------------------4--5--7----------------------
--------------------5--7-------------------------------
----------5--7--8--------------------------------------
-5--7--8-----------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------5--7--8----
-----------------------------------5--6--8-------------
-----------------------------4--5----------------------
--------------------5--7--9----------------------------
----------5--7--8--------------------------------------
-5--7--8-----------------------------------------------

Those are two different patterns of the A natural minor scale. You can move those patterns all over the fretboard, to different keys. But please, don't focus entirely on patterns. Learn the notes and where they are.

Go out and get some scale and chord books, they help like mad.

Try a chord progression over the locrian mode:

i° bII biii iv bV bVI bvii

translates into;

Cdim
Db Major
Ebm
Fm
Gb Major
Ab Major
Bbm
