So I was wondering how much difference a new speaker would make, because it seems like my stock one on my Valveking is just making the tone sound kind of rough and it sounds like the speaker is breaking up (not in a good way) I just want to get the overdrive tone really smooth, as opposed to what it is now, really rough

Thanks

I'd say country or bluegrass would be pretty difficult, for being inbred is a pre-requisite

Very good speakers. If you live in the states, the Eminence equivilant of those is a lot cheaper. Atleast they were a year ago, and they also sound great.

Exactly. Greenbacks and V30s honestly dont sound good in 1x12 combos. They sound best when theyre in closed back 2x12/4x12 cabs. IMO...

the Celestion G12T-75 sounds great in combos, both closed and open back.

Yeah, it makes a huge difference. I switched from stock crate speakers to Texas Heats. My amp still sounds like a solid state crate, but it does sound ALOT better than it did.

^ yeah totally. I love Eminence speakers. Theyre in most Orange cabs (at the 2x12s) and a lot of the higher end Hughes and Kettner combos.

What kind of crate did you put the texas heats in just out of curiosity?

Eminence speakers are good, but lately ive been prefering Electro Harmonix speakers, i really like the way they sound for some reason.
