Hi!! I would like to know, what is the best Amp Setting for my style because the one I use is very very dirty and I can't get a clear sound. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and I play throught a Peavey Bandit 112. I have the choices of : Vintage (Overdrive-like), Modern (Distortion-Like) and High Gain (No comments)...

Then I have: Pregain (Usually 10, the Maximum), Low, Mid, High and Post Gain.

I also have a reverb, a T Dynamics and a Presence.

So, I mostly play old Metal and old Hard Rock. But I want to know what settings could be good for.

(I play a lot of Randy Rhoads, I love his tone, Scorpions, and Deep Purple)

Thanks!!

this may not be a huge help, but since you play a lot of deep purple. i read in an interview that Ritchie Blackmore liked to use a lot of treble in his sound, and was sometimes known to use a high end booster.

ive also heard his distortion described as clean with the power tubes starting to break up

now if your talking about later DP with Steve Morse your looking at a lot of midrange... thats all i really got to tell ya
