Recommend me some decent amps for band practices. I've been using a loner cab for 6 months but it's time to give it back.

I play metal(more low end with a sprinkle of highs). Max is $500. Any help is appreciated.

my bass player has a fender frontman 100, which sounds pretty good when u play with the setting for 10 minutes, and its 100 watts so u know its good for gigging, also its in your price range. also look for gallien kruger(sp) the frontline series? im not sure, check those out though, those are good for beginners, and maybe people playing for about 2 or 3 years.

My Laney R2 is great for Band Practices, but i think they might have stopped making it. There is a new equivalent though, which I'm guessing will be the same.
