So which end of the guitar lead goes into the guitar?

My lead has one straight connection and one that is at a 90* angle

It's the angled jack that goes into your guitar. It's made that way so it won't stick out. Some people get annoyed by jacks that stick out of the guitar's body.


But it doesnt really matter which side goes in, just the 90 degree one looks better

Only on Gibsons, IMO. Like the SG, I hate where the jack is on it, so a 90 degree one would look better, but on a strat it would look weird.
