ok my friend's boss has a power amp and full stack, im not sure of the brand of any of this

he was going to sell for $1000+ but he offered it my buddy 1st for 600 assuming that all this stuff works, would all he need is a pre amp to play?

yeah leads are cables to some people. But yeah, you would need some sort of pre-amp. or for a simple sound, a distortion pedal straight into the power-amp will work (the distortion pedal would still be considered the pre-amp anyways). Thats what Kurt Cobain did anyways lol

he has one of those berhinger amps with 500 lousy effects, would that work as a pre amp?

a v-amp? yeah that would work, if you're talking about an amp though, just take the effects loop send of the amp and go to the poweramp
